Synchron 2016 ‘You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know’ Conference

Synchron’s 2016 adviser conference was recently conducted in Hong Kong.

256 delegates attended the event, which was delivered under the theme of ‘You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know.’

In what continues to be a turbulent period in the life insurance and broader financial services sector, Synchron’s 2016 conference succeeded in addressing the issues impacting its growing adviser force, while at the same time celebrating the work and achievements of its advisers and staff.

The first keynote speaker at the event was renowned Australian presenter, Amanda Gore, who reminded her audience that we’re not all the same and that the most important thing in life is how we think about ourselves.

Amanda’s presentation helped set the mood for the rest of the conference, which maintained high levels of engagement between the delegates and also between the speakers and their audience.

A diverse range of topics was discussed, by way of keynote sessions, shorter case study presentations, hypothetical discussions and a light-hearted debate about whether robots will one day replace advisers.

The family culture that has evolved at Synchron was evident in the large number of partners and families of advisers who also attended, and who were included in both the opening and closing conference sessions.

The social element of the conference was also an integral component of its success, allowing advisers and their industry colleagues the opportunity to share ideas and develop new contacts and networks.
