TAL Life was named as the Platinum Winner at the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA)/ Strategic Insight (SI) Life Company of the Year Awards.
The awards, announced in Sydney in mid-March, were split into two areas – products and clients services with ten awards presented in the first and three in the second area.
The product awards covered risk (Trauma, Term/TPD/Income Protection) and investment bond and annuity and income stream products, as well as service quality and product innovation.
These awards were based on independent quantitative research conducted by Strategic Insight, Actuaries and Researchers during three separate investigations across the year.
The three awards presented in the client services areas covered underwriting, claims and business support and were based exclusively from adviser feedback collected from an extensive joint AFA and riskinfo database, which was then analysed by the Beddoes Institute.
While TAL Life was named as the Platinum winner for the fifth time BT and Zurich were named as runners-up in that category.
