PR partnership, The Value Alliance, played host to a number of familiar financial advice personalities at an event to welcome in 2015. Held in the O Bar at the top of Sydney’s Australia Square tower, guests were treated to drinks, canapes and 360 degree views of the city.
Guest speaker, Association of Financial Advisers CEO, Brad Fox, talked about a number of key issues facing the advice sector in the coming year. He said he believed there was a strong future for financial advisers, but that it would take time to overcome the sector’s perception problem.
“Great advice practices are flourishing despite the current issues,” Mr Fox said. “The future is bright, the demand for advice is through the roof – but we will need time to rebuild our reputation.”
To combat the negative commentary about advice, Mr Fox encouraged all advisers to “do what they do best” and share more stories about the value of advice.
Julie Bennett, Founder of 64 Media which along with Pritchett Partners makes up the Value Alliance, thanked the attendees for their support over the previous 12 months.
“Last year was a year of getting to know each other a little better and I’m very pleased to announce that after a successful courtship, our partnership, like all good partnerships, is moving to the next level. Stay tuned for further announcements soon.”
