OnePath was named as the overall winner of the 2018 Consumer Choice Award at a presentation held in Sydney on 15 November.
The Award was presented to the life insurer by the AFA and the Beddoes Institute as part of the third annual Consumer Choice Awards, in which ClearView was runner-up for the overall award.
The awards are based on research conducted by the Institute with life insurance policyholders and claimants, with a total of eight awards presented across two categories reflecting the two areas of research.
In the Policyholder Awards, AIA Australia and ClearView took home the accolades, while in the Claims Choice Awards, ClearView shared the honors with OnePath and BT Financial Group.
Beddoes Institute Director, Dr Rebecca Shiels said the awards reveal the life insurance companies that deliver superior product, service and claims experiences according to life insurance customers themselves.
Pivot Wealth Founder and adviser, Ben Nash also addressed those in attendance about his philosophy and approach to giving advice, providing insights about the process for those from the underwriting, claims and product development teams of the major life insurers.
