On 12 March the Association of Financial Advisers and Plan for Life presented their annual Life Company of the Year Awards. For the first time, the event was held in the evening, with life company executives donning their best ‘black tie’ outfits for the occasion.
Sydney’s Westin Hotel was the venue for the evening, where guests were entertained by key note speaker and former Australian rugby union star, Phil Waugh.
The big winner on the night was CommInsure, who took out the Platinum Life Company of the Year Award. Runners up were BT Financial Group and TAL.
Service excellence was also recognised, in a joint initiative between the AFA, riskinfo and the Beddoes Institute. Macquarie Life won all three Client Service Awards, which acknowledge the work of BDMs, underwriting and claims teams.
